Beijing Business Daily News (Reporter Liu Sihong) After the full opening of WeChat Pay on Taobao platform, JD.com and Alibaba are also expected to see further opening. On September 26, it was reported that JD will officially access Alipay payment, which is expected to be launched on the eve of Double 11.
In response to this news, the reporter of Beijing Business Daily sought confirmation from Alipay and Jingdong, but received no response.
In addition, there has been heated discussion about when Taobao will support JD Pay. The official customer service of Taobao also responded to the reporter that it is not currently supported, and whether it will be opened in the future needs to be closely monitored.
At present, when consumers place orders on JD.com, the default payment methods are sorted as JD Pay, WeChat Pay, etc.
Payment interoperability among major Internet platforms has become a trend. On September 26, the first batch of users can take the lead in experiencing WeChat payment on Taobao. After opening the Taobao app, a reporter from Beijing Business Daily found that after selecting the product and submitting the order, a prominent "WeChat Pay" column appeared in the payment method. Clicking on it would directly redirect to WeChat Pay, and the merchant would be displayed as a "Taobao platform merchant".
