On September 5th, UK antitrust officials stated that Microsoft's hiring of former Infection AI employees and collaboration with the startup will not pose a threat to competition. The UK Competition and Markets Authority launched an investigation in July this year to determine whether Microsoft's relationship with Reflection AI may stifle competition in the UK. Officials have now concluded that this is not the case and have stated that they will not initiate a formal investigation into it.
