US District Judge Margaret Garnett issued a preliminary injunction on Friday, halting the launch of Venu Sports. The streaming service, jointly launched by Fox, ESPN under Disney, and Warner Bros. Exploration, was originally scheduled to go live this fall and covers approximately 55% of sports broadcasting rights in the United States. The judge stated that the joint venture between these three media giants will significantly reduce competition and restrict trade. (Wall Street Journal)
