Securities Times Online News: The three major US stock indexes collectively closed higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 554.67 points, or 1.39%, to 40563.06 points; The Nasdaq rose 401.89 points, or 2.34%, to 17594.50 points; The S&P 500 index rose 88.01 points, or 1.61%, to 5543.22 points.
Large tech stocks generally rose, with Tesla up over 6%, Amazon and Nvidia up over 4%, Meta up over 2%, Apple and Microsoft up over 1%, and Google up slightly.
Popular Chinese concept stocks rose, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index up 1.72%. JD.com rose over 4%, Vipshop rose over 3%, NIO, NetEase, Baidu, Xiaopeng Motors, Bilibili, and Ideal Auto rose over 2%, while Weibo, Futu Holdings, and Alibaba rose slightly. IQiyi fell more than 2%, while Tencent Music fell more than 1%.
