According to insiders, HSBC Bank, which holds a 49% stake in HSBC Jinxin Fund Management Company, has reached an agreement with Shanxi Trust to acquire an additional 31% stake in the joint venture company. HSBC will pay approximately 1 billion yuan (approximately 138 million US dollars), and the transaction is still awaiting regulatory approval. Shanxi Trust announced last year that it plans to sell 31% of its shares for 1 billion yuan, with HSBC having the right of first refusal. (Bloomberg)
