On Wednesday Eastern Time, the three major US stock indexes collectively closed higher. As of the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.25%, the Nasdaq rose 1.96%, and the S&P 500 index rose 1.18%. Both the Nasdaq and S&P 500 indexes hit historic highs. On Wednesday, most popular Chinese concept stocks rose, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index (HXC) closing 1.6% higher. TSMC rose nearly 7%.
