HSBC Holdings announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at noon on July 31 that Jonathan Bingham has been appointed as the interim Group Chief Financial Officer, effective from September 2, 2024. He will not be appointed as an executive director. During his tenure as interim Group Chief Financial Officer, Zhuang Jingxing will retain his current position as Global Financial Supervisor. As the global financial supervisor of HSBC, Zhuang Jingxing is responsible for leading a global team and managing HSBC's external finance, regulatory, environmental, social and governance, as well as tax filings. The selection process for the next Group Chief Financial Officer has begun, and HSBC will announce the results of the selection in due course.
