Caizhong News Agency, November 25-- At the recent third quarter financial report meeting of Baidu Group (09888), CEO Robin Lee revealed that Baidu would release a new version of Wenxin model at the beginning of 2025.
Compared to the first disclosure of 50 million times a year ago, Baidu's latest financial report shows that the daily average usage of Baidu Wenxin's large model has exceeded 1.5 billion, a 30 fold increase. As the foundation of the big model, the sudden increase in the call volume of Wenxin's big model indicates that the application of big models is beginning to show an explosive trend both inside and outside Baidu.
Robin Lee recently said that when its daily usage data was still 200 million six months ago, he once discussed the future of the big model with Baidu executives and said: "If our daily average API calls of the big model increase 10 times within a year, I think it will be. Now only half a year later, we are closer to this figure."
This month, Baidu also released 100 industrial applications based on the big model, covering manufacturing, energy, transportation, government affairs, finance, automobile, education, Internet and many other industries. Robin Lee said that this actually represents Baidu's cognition and attitude. Baidu is not aiming to launch a 'super application', but to continuously help more people and businesses create millions of 'super useful' applications.
