On December 13th, Google's parent company Alphabet has resumed displaying hotels in search results in Germany, Estonia, and Belgium. This is the latest development in a series of disputes between the tech giant and price comparison websites. Previously, Google stated that several hotel groups had experienced a significant decline in traffic. According to the EU's Digital Markets Act, Google must comply with regulations that prohibit it from favoring its own products and services through its search engine results, such as Google Shopping and Hotels, over those of its competitors.
