President of TSMC US Division: The chip yield rate of the Arizona factory is about 4 percentage points higher than that of similar factories in Taiwan. TSMC's initial yield rate at its first factory in Arizona, USA, has already exceeded that of similar factories in Taiwan. According to a person involved in the event, Rick Cassidy, President of TSMC's US division, told the audience at a webinar on Wednesday that the yield of chips produced by TSMC's Phoenix factory is about 4 percentage points higher than similar factories in Taiwan.
