Tesla announced on November 5th that since early November, it has increased the salaries of all employees at its German Gigafactory located on the outskirts of Berlin by 4%. A month ago, Tesla announced that it would provide long-term contracts for 500 temporary workers at the factory starting from November 1st. Tesla added that the German union IG Metall was not involved in this matter and has long criticized the working conditions at the Glenhead factory. The Glenhead factory is Tesla's only European Gigafactory, with approximately 12000 employees. Earlier this year, Tesla reduced the number of employees there through voluntary layoffs.
