TechInsights: Half of iPhone 16 5G Millimeter Wave Radio Quantity: TechInsights' latest disassembly analysis of iPhone 16 shows that the millimeter wave AiP previously emitted from the side has been relocated to a new position near the camera component on the rear glass panel. In addition, disassembly revealed that Apple no longer includes the second millimeter wave RF front-end module and phased array antenna previously designed to be located on the main logic board. This means that Apple has actually halved the number of millimeter wave radios and has not provided spatial diversity for millimeter waves.
