On October 20th, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls". Starting from October 20, 2023, a total of 4787 imported Model X electric vehicles with production dates from October 13, 2021 to September 28, 2023 will be recalled.
Due to the insufficient calibration range of the brake fluid level sensor signal received by the vehicle controller, vehicles within the scope of this recall may not be able to issue an alarm when the brake fluid level is low, which in extreme cases affects the vehicle's braking and increases the risk of collision, posing a safety hazard.
Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will upgrade vehicles within the recall range to software version 2023.32.9 or higher for free through the Automotive Remote Upgrade (OTA) technology, correcting the calibration range of the vehicle controller's signal reception, and ensuring accurate warning when the brake fluid level is low. Users do not need to go to the store to complete software upgrades. For vehicles that cannot be recalled through OTA technology, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will contact relevant users through Tesla Service Center to provide free software upgrades for the vehicles to eliminate safety hazards.
