Indian Prime Minister Modi Meets with CEO of Micron Technology to Discuss India's Semiconductor Ecosystem and Micron Factory Progress

On January 10th, the Indian Prime Minister met with Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technology, on the 9th to discuss the measures Micron Technology has taken to strengthen the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem in India. After the meeting, Mehrotra stated that he discussed with Modi the latest progress of Micron Technology's project in Sanander, Gujarat, India. Micron has started building a $2.75 billion semiconductor factory in Sanande and is expected to be completed by December this year. 50% of the investment funds will come from the central government of India, 20% from Gujarat, and Micron will invest up to 825 million US dollars.
