On January 9th, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the overall sales volume of the Chinese car market for December 2023. The data showed that Tesla Model Y delivered over 62000 vehicles in a single month, with a cumulative delivery of 646000 vehicles in 2023, becoming the annual champion of passenger car sales in China. Model 3 also won the championship of luxury sedan delivery for both the year 2023 and December. Meanwhile, with a delivery volume of up to 947000 vehicles throughout the year, Tesla ranks first in domestic luxury brand delivery for the year.
Tesla's "champion model" Model Y continues to lead sales in multiple national markets, locking in the world's best-selling model in 2023 ahead of schedule. In the United States, the "world's best-selling electric vehicle" Model Y exceeds the combined sales of Ford and General Motors segments by 3.7 times; Tesla has become the preferred choice for green travel among local consumers in Australia and several "fuel powered car headquarters" countries in Europe, thanks to its doubling growth rate.
In terms of sales, starting from January 1, 2024, Tesla will launch two limited time benefits, car insurance subsidies and low interest finance, which can be combined and used. Taking the Model 3 rear wheel drive version as an example, consumers who place an order and pick up the car in January can enjoy a limited time insurance subsidy of 6000 yuan and a low interest discount of more than 16000 yuan, which can save more than 22000 yuan.
