According to Chen Zhao, the head of economic research at real estate brokerage firm Redfin, the total sales of completed homes in the United States in 2023 are expected to be around 4.1 million units, which will be the lowest annual sales level since the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the global financial crisis in 2008.
