On December 21st, sources revealed that Blackstone Group will spend nearly $280 million to acquire a majority stake in Sony Payment Services, a subsidiary of Sony Group. The earliest announcement will be made on Friday local time.
It is reported that Sony Bank will retain a minority stake of 20% in its payment business, which has a total value of approximately 50 billion yen (approximately 350 million US dollars). (Bloomberg)
