On December 13th, a reporter from China Securities News learned that the internet insurance platform Huize has recently upgraded its "Darwin" series of critical illness insurance. The relevant person in charge of Huize stated that under the guidance of strict regulation, the insurance industry continues to promote the return to the source of protection. The Darwin series products are based on solid guarantees, gradually giving them high cost-effectiveness, accompanying family growth, covering health management, and involving diverse brands.
Wang Yin, Chief Product Officer of Huize Insurance Brokerage, stated that the "Darwin" series of critical illness insurance has been committed to providing affordable protection for every struggling young person since its launch in 2018, exploring the appropriate cost-effectiveness and age of purchase for critical illness insurance, so that young people with low incomes are no longer excluded from critical illness insurance.
According to data disclosed by Huize, the cumulative number of customers for the "Darwin" series of products has reached 310000, with an average age of 32 years old. Since its 5th anniversary, the average age of compensation for this product is only 34 years old. The company has assisted in 2096 claims summary cases, with a total amount of 527 million yuan.
Huize stated that as an insurance institution that operates its customers on a platform, Huize has relied on online channels to reach more young customers, which has brought Huize a younger and higher quality customer base, as well as better and more stable renewal and repurchase opportunities. According to data, as of August this year, Huize's long-term insurance has maintained an annual cumulative continuation rate of over 95% for the 13th and 25th months.
