On November 29th, Barclays informed its employees that hundreds of backend jobs are at risk of being laid off in order to reduce costs and increase returns. According to a statement from the union Unite, Barclays notified employees of Barclays Execution Services on Tuesday that it is possible to lay off 900 employees at the subsidiary.
