On the night of November 19th local time, Microsoft CEO Nadella announced on X (formerly Twitter) that OpenAI founder and former CEO Sam Altman, former CEO Greg Brockman, and other employees who had left OpenAI would join Microsoft. Both Ultraman and Brockman forwarded this tweet, with the accompanying text stating 'Mission Continuation'. At 1am on November 20th, Emmett Shear, former CEO of Amazon's gaming live streaming platform Twitch, also posted a lengthy article on X stating that after discussing and contemplating with his family for several hours, he would accept the position of interim CEO of OpenAI. At this point, the OpenAI "coup drama" that lasted nearly 60 hours from the official opening has finally come to a close.
