On November 7th, a screenshot of a message circulating online about the strict investigation of corruption within NetEase Games involved multiple senior executives in the marketing department. Xiang, the general manager of the marketing department of Easy Games, and others have also been taken away for investigation. The amount of the investigation may reach hundreds of millions of yuan.

On the early morning of November 8th, NetEase's relevant public relations personnel responded on their social media account, stating that NetEase's anti-corruption efforts have never stopped, and mentioned that due to the ongoing investigation of the case, specific information cannot be disclosed. NetEase will notify them at an appropriate time.
In addition, NetEase Games has also released an internal announcement regarding rumors of anti-corruption investigations, confirming that nine individuals, including Xiang Lang, Jin Yuchen, and Xu Ao, were suspected of fraud, corruption, and illegal activities during their tenure and have been criminally filed by the public security organs. Criminal coercive measures have been taken in accordance with the law. The notice also mentioned that 27 companies related to fraud, corruption, and illegal activities have been included in the list of entities that NetEase will never cooperate with.
