On November 12th local time, the Hague Court of Appeal in the Netherlands rejected the previous ruling that required Shell to reduce carbon emissions by 45% before 2030. The court reiterated Shell's responsibility in addressing climate change, but ruled that the company does not need to be legally enforced with specific emission reduction targets.
