This year's CIIE brings together over 400 new products, technologies, and services, embarking on a journey of "CIIE". The innovative achievements in the medical equipment and healthcare exhibition area are particularly noteworthy.
With the increasing awareness of public health, the integration of high technology and medical services has accelerated, and smart healthcare has gradually become the core driving force for promoting the development of China's health industry.
As an old friend of the CIIE, Abbott has brought multiple medical and health technologies and innovative achievements. During the expo, the "Expert Consensus on the Clinical Application of Continuous Glucose Monitoring" (referred to as the "Expert Consensus") was launched, and at the same time, a real-time digital blood glucose management solution was showcased.
The Expert Consensus launched this time provides theoretical support for the clinical application of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). Professor Xie Yun from Tianjin Medical University Zhu Xianyi Memorial Hospital stated that the "Expert Consensus" adopts a question and answer format, covering seven categories and a total of 31 questions and answers. It deeply analyzes common doubts in the clinical application of CGM, aiming to provide authoritative reference for the standardized operation of CGM in clinical practice.
With the rapid development of diagnosis and treatment technologies for diabetes, the international standard of Integrated Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (iCGM), which requires more precision, has been launched recently. ICGM represents the high demand for accuracy in continuous glucose monitoring equipment internationally.
In this regard, Zhao Weigang, a professor of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, believes that the introduction of iCGM standards and the availability of related technologies will undoubtedly bring positive effects to many diabetes patients.
According to statistics, China has included the prevention and treatment of diabetes into the health China special action. The need for intelligent treatment of diabetes is increasingly urgent to meet the growing challenges of health management.
On site, Abbott's Instant Sensing 2 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System achieved "finger less blood glucose measurement". With the cooperation of sensors and smartphone applications, it is easy for users to grasp their own glucose level dynamics. It is understood that the system has obtained FDA iCGM registration certification internationally.
"We continue to bring forth new ideas and transform many 'exhibits' into' commodities' by virtue of the spillover effect of the Expo." Li Jing, general manager of Abbott diabetes Greater China, said that the Instantaneous Family is constantly innovating its product line and providing digital blood glucose management solutions from individuals to hospitals.
According to reports, Abbott Instant Continuous Dynamic Glucose Monitoring System has been applied in more than 60 countries around the world, serving more than six million patients with diabetes. In China, the system has provided services to over 500000 users.
