On the morning of the 18th, the topic of "JD Financial Run" made it to the hot search on social media. Some netizens posted screenshots claiming that the wealth management funds purchased on JD Financial Platform could not be redeemed, which is suspected to be a run and has attracted a lot of attention.
In response to this, the Weibo "JD spokesperson" quickly stated that the statement is completely untrue and JD reserves the right to pursue legal responsibility.

The screenshot posted by a netizen shows that "there has been a huge redemption of funds sold on behalf of JD.com. If it really leads to a large-scale run on the bank, then JD.com is finished," with the caption on the redemption interface of a certain product of Everbright Wealth Management. The picture prompts "The current product has triggered a huge redemption, please try again on the next redemption open day
JD Financial officials responded to a reporter from a securities firm in China, stating that the product shown in the screenshot was not sold on the JD Financial platform, but was sold by Everbright Wealth Management through other external channels. Therefore, the screenshot is completely untrue. At the same time, JD Finance and other Internet platforms do not have the qualification to sell bank financial products for the time being, and their products sold on a commission basis are mainly funds.
The Weibo account of "JD spokesperson" also stated, "There is no online rumor of a 'run' on JD Financial Platform, and the related statements are completely untrue. Users' funds on JD Financial are managed by licensed financial institutions and are subject to legal supervision and protection. All types of wealth management products are operating normally
In May 2021, the former China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission issued the "Interim Measures for the Management of Sales of Wealth Management Products by Wealth Management Companies", which clearly stipulated that the sales institutions of wealth management products include: (1) wealth management companies that sell wealth management products issued by the company; (2) Agency sales institutions entrusted by wealth management companies to sell their issued wealth management products, including other wealth management companies, commercial banks, rural cooperative banks, village banks, rural credit cooperatives, and other banking and financial institutions that absorb public deposits, as well as other institutions designated by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.
