On October 11th, Southern Metropolis Daily reporters noticed that Taobao and Tmall have released new service standards and launched the "Add Price and Choose SF Express" shipping module. Consumers who purchase goods with the "Add Price and Choose SF Express" service logo can choose to pay additional shipping fees and request SF Express delivery. After placing an order, merchants need to provide service fulfillment according to the requirements. If the contract is not fulfilled according to the specifications, the merchant shall compensate the buyer 15 yuan.
Tmall will launch the first wave of pre-sales for Singles' Day on October 14th. The new features of Taobao and Tmall will officially take effect on October 16th and 15th respectively, covering Double Eleven.

It is understood that merchants can provide this service on a product by product basis by setting the function in the "Self selected Express Template Settings" in the background. The default markup is 5 yuan, and specific postage amounts can also be set for users in different regions. Due to regional restrictions on the "Add Price SF Express" service, some regions currently do not support configuration, and the platform will display detailed information.
According to the performance requirements, the merchant must ensure that the goods included in the "Add on SF Express" service are within the delivery range of SF Express, and there must be no situation where consumers cannot use SF Express to ship or deliver after payment. Meanwhile, Taobao and Tmall suggest that merchants prioritize shipping or ship within 24 hours. If the merchant fails to use SF Express as promised for shipment or cannot deliver after shipment, Taobao and Tmall will impose shipping restrictions on the merchant.
Consumers who purchase goods from the same merchant with or without the "optional SF Express" service logo will not be eligible for additional shipping to SF Express.
If the seller fails to fulfill the performance requirements according to the above specifications, the buyer may file a complaint. After the complaint is established, the merchant must refund the additional shipping fee charged to SF Express; Except in special circumstances, merchants must also compensate consumers with 15 yuan by distributing compensation red envelopes.
Taotian releases new regulations intensively on Double Eleven
The content of the platform's Double Eleven service has changed this year, not only pleasing consumers but also attracting businesses under high business pressure. After the relaxation of the "refund only" policy in July this year, Taobao has started to adjust its policies, and recently released a series of new regulations to reduce the burden on merchants; Not prioritizing low prices, launching a new version of the experience sub system, and encouraging and guiding merchants to optimize services to enhance user consumption experience.
This year's Singles' Day, Taobao and Tmall will no longer require shipping insurance and will launch the "Return Treasure" to reduce the cost of merchant returns and exchanges. At the same time, Taobao has launched welfare policies such as zero transaction fees and fast repayment, as well as full refund of billions of subsidies and commissions, to reduce the operating costs of merchants.
In addition, Taobao and Tmall also announced that during Tmall's "Double Eleven" period, they will provide free "use first, pay later" services to all Taobao and Tmall merchants participating in the promotion, and provide exclusive resource exposure for "use first, pay later" products, fully assisting merchants in transaction conversion.
Double Eleven has already started in advance, and the platform may gradually release new regulations that benefit merchants and consumers.
