Boeing has reached an agreement with its largest union to avoid strikes. In addition to a 25% salary increase within four years, the agreement also includes retirement benefits, reduced healthcare costs, and promises that Boeing will manufacture aircraft in the unionized Pacific Northwest region. The union represents 33000 workers who are primarily responsible for manufacturing Boeing's best-selling 737 MAX and other jet aircraft in Washington state. The current contract of the union will expire this Thursday, and at that time, the agreement will be put to a vote by union members, who can still choose to reject the agreement and go on strike.
