On August 26th, Vale announced the appointment of Mr. Gustavo Pimeta as the company's next CEO. According to the resume, Bi Wenda is a senior executive with global experience in the finance, energy, and mining industries, having worked in Brazil, the United States, and Europe for over 20 years. He was appointed as the Executive Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Vale in 2021, and has also been responsible for procurement, energy, and decarbonization. Before joining Vale, he worked at AES for 12 years, serving as the company's Global Chief Financial Officer, Director of Planning and Strategy, and Vice President of Performance and Services.
