[align center] Decision on countermeasures against US Congressman McGovern
(Announced by Order No. 11 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China on July 31, 2024, and effective from July 31, 2024)
In recent years, Democratic Congressman Jim McGovern from Massachusetts has frequently taken words and actions that interfere in China's internal affairs and harm China's sovereignty, security, and development interests. According to Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 15 of the Anti Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, China has decided to take the following countermeasures against McGovern:
1、 Freeze movable, immovable, and other types of property within the territory of our country;
2、 Prohibit organizations and individuals within our country from engaging in transactions, collaborations, and other activities related to themselves;
3、 Not issuing visas or allowing entry to the individual, their spouse, and children.
This decision shall come into effect on July 31, 2024.
