On November 15th, Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily reported (Reporter Chen Junqing) that on November 14th, NetEase released its third quarter 2024 performance and held a performance conference on the evening of the same day.
According to the financial report, NetEase's net revenue in the third quarter of this year was 26.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%. In recent years, NetEase's revenue growth rate has continued to decline, with year-on-year growth rates of 24.5%, 18.9%, 10%, and 7.2% from 2020 to 2023, respectively.
In terms of profitability, NetEase also suffered a "Waterloo". In Q3 2024, NetEase's net profit attributable to its parent company was 6.5 billion yuan, compared to 7.8 billion yuan in the same period last year; Under non GAAP accounting standards, the net profit attributable to shareholders was 7.5 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.8% month on month and 12.8% year-on-year.

JPMorgan Chase believes that long-term IPs such as Identity V have the potential to remain stable, and Blizzard's return has strong momentum. The management stated at the performance meeting that NetEase has made efforts in product and marketing in its cooperation with Blizzard. Egg Party falls into commercialization dilemma, multiple games will be suspended
While the above game products have achieved good results, NetEase's ace "Egg Boy Party" is facing difficulties in commercialization.
The 2Q24 research report of CICC Internet industry pointed out that the total game duration of Egg Boy Party in Q2 this year decreased by 56%, and the DAU also decreased significantly from 17.46 million in July last year to 9.39 million in July this year. According to DA2 Game Observation, Egg Party's summer OS revenue from June to August was 170 million yuan, with a year-on-year decrease of 45% in revenue compared to last year.
